Have you ever wondered what is involved in working with a brand & web site designer? It’s a big step in your business, and if you’ve never worked with a designer it’s hard to know what to expect. Here's a look inside my brand & web design process to help take away some of the uncertainty.

My process is broken down into six phases: inquiry, welcome, homework, strategy, design, and launch/project wrap up.  This process includes extensive collaboration which requires prep work and exercises to get a deeper understanding of your industry and target market. This requires time. If you are not ready to put in the time AND work, then unfortunately we cannot work together. I truly want to help my community succeed so it is imperative that we go beyond just a pretty logo that will attract your ideal audience.

PHASE ONE

INQUIRY

 This will be an opportunity for you to tell me a little more about you and your brand, mission, goals, and expectations. You'll also get to know a little more about me, my services, and how I can help you achieve your brand goals.

PHASE TWO

WELCOME

After the inquiry phase, I’ll respond to you within 1-3 business days with more details, open start dates & more. If you decide to move forward, you’ll receive a contract & invoice for the 50% deposit to secure your spot in my calendar.

PHASE THREE

HOMEWORK

After the initial deposit is paid and a contract is signed, I’ll send you questionnaires and worksheets where you will dig deep into the heart of your business to build a strong foundation for your brand.

PHASE FOUR

STRATEGY

After reviewing your homework, I will come up with a few concepts for your brand. I’ll present my ideas for the overall aesthetic of your new brand, to ensure we’re moving forward with a united vision.

PHASE FIVE

DESIGN

At this stage, I will create your brand identity including your logos, graphics, collateral pieces, and website! Once you give approve your brand identity, brand collaterals & website design, I’ll start prepping your final files for launch.

PHASE SIX

LAUNCH

Once the final files are prepped they will be handed off to you. Now it’s time to share your new brand & website with the rest of the world! Upload your new brand & website on social media and print your collaterals.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • I book projects on a first come, first serve basis every month. If there are currently no open spots left at the time of your inquiry, you will be notified.

  • The general design proof turnaround time is 7-21 business days, depending on workload at time of order.

    For branding packages and larger projects, design turnaround is 6-8 business weeks. If needed, upon availability, I offer a rush design turnaround for an additional fee, on certain services.

    Once the initial design proofs are sent over, if any revisions are requested, those revised designs get sent over within 5-7 business days.

    For print orders, once the designs are finalized, the files are sent to the printing company that Alana Karin Designs partners with, and the production time is generally 7-14 business days. Once shipped, you will receive a shipping notification via email. If you need to expedite your shipping, please inquire via email before placing your order for availability.

  • Alana Karin Designs operates Mon -Thurs, from 10AM-5PM EST and Fri 11PM - 3PM. I am closed on weekends, and all major holidays. No communication will be done outside of those business hours.

  • Many of our clients are budding entrepreneurs and small business owners looking to grow their brand by attracting their target market.

  • I require a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit payment for all premium package services. A la Carte and Design & Print projects require payment upfront in FULL. Please read Terms & Conditions before placing an order. I accept payments via debit card, credit card via PayPal.

  • I communicate via email for documentation purposes. Please allow 24-72 business hours for a reply to your inquiry. Inquiries will not be responded to on the weekends.

  • Once your payment is received, you are officially marked down as a client, and we can proceed - yay! For premium services, please fill out the appropriate questionnaires. For all other services, PLEASE EMAIL the following:

    Logo - Please provide your logo in HIGH QUALITY .png (transparent background) format.

    High Quality Photos - I DO NOT work with cell phone, or low quality images. Professional photos only. If needed, I can implement one, or several of my purchased stock photos, in your design.

    Content Verbiage - Please have the design verbiage clear and concise, for your design. Typed and sent in a Word or Note document. Names, titles, wording correct. Alana Karin Designs, will NOT BE liable for any typos, misspellings, or grammatical errors.

  • If it comes to this, unfortunately there is a no refund policy in place for projects already started. If you want to cancel, and your project has not been started on yet, there will be a full refund provided.
